Kooler Sponsors Eat and Run Fundraiser with Mobile Water Station

Last Feb 19, 2023, the American Chamber Foundation Philippines, Inc. (AmCham) held the 9th edition of its fundraising project which aims to support scholarship programs in the Philippines. The AmCham ScholaRUN - Eat and Run was held at Liwasang Ullalim CCP Complex, Pasay City.

The event had 3,260 registered runners competing in 200m, 3km, 5km, 10km, and 21k distances. In an effort to reduce its plastic waste, the AmCham Foundation banned the use and selling of single-use plastic bottles. All runners were encouraged to bring their own reusable bottles for hydration.

Kooler supported this effort by deploying its first-ever mobile water station concept. This mobile station sustained its own water supply with a 1000 Liter water tank mounted inside a closed van. This water tank supplied two water dispensers equipped with a cooling and purification system. This system uses a combination of Filtration plus Ultraviolet LED Water Disinfection to ensure clean and cool drinking water for the runners.

The Philippines is one of the largest contributors of single-use plastic waste in the world. It is no surprise that event organizers are more concerned about reducing and managing the waste generated by their events. By providing events with alternate solutions to single-use plastic water bottles, we can help event organizers minimize their environmental impact and at the same time, empower eventgoers to bring their own refillable and reusable water bottles.
